The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
